Dr.Y.S.R. Horticultural University Diploma Admission
Dr.Y.S.R. Horticultural University is committed to develop the need based manpower and technologies to resolve the problems confronting Horticulture and enable the horticultural farmers in Andhra Pradesh to make horticulture as the most remunerative enterprise. Consequently, the state of Andhra Pradesh shall be the leader in Horticulture by fulfilling the ambition of the Government of Andhra Pradesh in establishing this University. Dr.Y.S.R. Horticultural University is presently having 4 Constituent Horticultural Polytechnics offering Diploma in Horticulture and Government has accorded permission for the establishment of new Horticultural Food Processing Polytechnic at Dhone, Nandyal District from the academic year 2024-25 onwards and also has given affiliation to 7 Horticultural Polytechnic Colleges situated in different districts of A.P.
Diploma in Horticulture: 480 Seats (Government- 200; Affiliated-280)
Diploma in Horticultural Food Processing : 20 Seats (Government-20)
Duration: 2 years (4 semesters)
No. of total seats available: 500 seats
Qualification: Candidate should have passed SSC Examination.
Age Limit(as on 31-08-2024): Candidates who wish to seek admission into these courses shall have to complete 15 years of age as on 31-08-2024 with an upper age limit of 22 years (Born in between 31.08.2002 and 31.08.2009).
Selection Process: Per cent of marks/ Total marks obtained in SSC or its equivalent examination.
Application Fee: SC/ST/PH category is Rs.400 and for all other candidates Rs.800.
